Boulevard Smokestack Series Seeyoulator Doppelbock & Seasonal Bob's 47

I was very excited to receive a sample of these seasonal brews from Boulevard's Marketing Dept last week.  Have a beer with me!
Cheers!

Seeyoulator Doppelbock
Style: Doppelbock
Availability: Fall Seasonal, 750 mL Bottles and Draught (limited)

Doppelbock was first brewed in Munich around 1700 by the monks of Saint Francis of Paula, to sustain them through the Lenten fast. They called their full-bodied brew “Salvator.” Today it is customary to pay homage to the good brothers by giving doppelbocks names ending in “-ator.” Our version bids a fond aufwiedersehen to tradition, charting a flight path into bold new territory. Medium amber in color, it offers a heady, estery banana aroma. Rich maltiness predominates, with cedar aging lending just a hint of spice to the finish.

Color (EBC) 42.8
Bitterness (IBUs) 35
Original Gravity (Plato) 20.5
Terminal Gravity (Plato) 3.51
Alcohol (ABV) 8.5%
Malts and Adjuncts: Cara 120, Cara 50, Dark Sugar, Pale Malt, Pilsner Malt, Smoked Malt
Hops: Hallertau Tradition, Saphir

Bob's ’47 Oktoberfest
Style: Oktoberfest / Märzen

Our fall seasonal beer, Bob’s ’47 Oktoberfest is a medium-bodied, dark amber brew with a malty flavor and well-balanced hop character. With this Munich-style lager we salute our friend Bob Werkowitch, Master Brewer and graduate of the U.S. Brewer’s Academy, 1947.

Color (EBC) 29.5
Bitterness (IBUs) 27
Original Gravity (Plato) 13.6

New this month: BYOB (Brew your own batch). This is for those who want to start brewing, but are not sure they can do it. Here is how it works: You buy the indgredients. We will brew your batch of beer and ferment it out here at Homebrew Supply. You will return in 2 to 3 weeks and we will bottle the beer in your bottles. You will take it home with you and enjoy it in 2 weeks. This way you get a personal course on homebrewing beer and can enjoy the fruits of your labor! One offer per brewer, please.
Thank you all for your past business and I look forward to serving your future homebrewing needs!
