SEMO Craft Beer Events
This past Tuesday Primo Vino! hosted their 2nd Craft Beer Tasting featuring Avery, Bell's, New Belgium, and O'Fallon Craft Beer Selections. It appeared to be a really good turn out. I cannot recommend these tastings enough. They are a great opportunity to try over a dozen Craft Beers for free.

Tomorrow, Saturday August 14th, will kick off Jour de Fete in Ste Genevieve. Be sure to make the trip to Ste Gen to enjoy the festivities and have a Pilsner, Half-Wit, or Tornando Alley Amber Ale from Charleville Vinyard & Microbrewery.

Tomorrow, Saturday August 14th, John Huber of Homebrewsupply of Southeast Missouri will be offering a free homebrew demonstration from 10am to 2 pm. John just sent a note that he will have water and homebrew samples so you can beat the August heat.

SEMO Craft Beer News
August has been an exciting month for the St Louis Craft Beer Scene that is just a country mile north for us. Three new breweries have announced their plans to serve the St Louis Area: The Civil Life Brewing Company, Urban Chestnut Brewing Co., and Perennial Artisan Ales. Here are some articles from Evan Benn's STL Today Hip Hop's column and Mike Sweeney's STLHops.com STL Craft Beer Blog:

And, I also discovered this week that Bryce Eddings the Craft Beer writer behind About Beer is a resident of Cape Girardeau. Be sure to check out his blog. Here is his lastest post: Can a Chain Brew Local Beer?
